Introducing the DekiBox Smart Appliance - addresses the “information is too hard to manage and share” problem.
The DekiBox provides templating on top of a Wiki platform. They are grabbing unstructured data, creating loosely structured data, and then mashing it up with external data to provide more structure.
MindTouch is trying to get us to use e-mail better. They are demonstrating pasting an e-mail thread into the Editor and it is converted automatically into a structured thread.
The box provides software-as-a-service on your network. The device is plug-and-play. It backs up automatically. It is completely self-managing.

Most businesses manage their content inside of e-mail and massive storage arrays that are dubious to access. Less than 5% of business users use any system at all.
Koral is free for basic usage. A file is dragged to a drop box and then automatically indexed. The system automatically recommends a series of tags that will ease finding it later.
Koral prevides previews for all files, even Powerpoint, which makes it possible to better evaluate. Users can “subscribe” to individual files.
Community involvement tied to ratings on specific documents. The goal is to source feedback on the documents created.
Some Salesforce integration is provided that automatically maps documents into customer views.

Genius instantly lets reps see what prospects are doing on the web site. New version, Genius Interactive lets them chat with prospects on the web site live - it’s IT Free.
Genius lets you look at all the interactions your customer has had with your business. It can be synchronized with SaleForce.com.
This is a method for understanding ROI from an e-mail campaign. The proxy server automatically merges the chat interface on top of any site - this is seemingly the IT Free aspect of the system.
They provide a Tivo-like interface that let’s you go back and look at what the prospect has been looking at.
This is very powerful - but also a little creepy :)

ThinkFree is viewed by Microsoft as a serious competitor. “The office is finally about to move from the desktop to the web.”
The problem with the transition is compatability with legacy applications (MS Office). ThinkFree Show allows you to seamlessly create powerpoint presentations while also supporting export to a blog.
ThinkFree is the only online suite that provides seamless, roundtrip compatability with MS Office.
With ThinkFree, there’s no need to e-mail attachements. All documents can be delivered as links - saving the common problem associated with document-based collaboration.
ThinkFree provides a powerful full-text search that allows you to search across your ThinkFree documents.

System One merges enterprise collaboration and search into a radical user interface. It seems to be a Wiki-based application that automatically culls a wealth of information together in real-time. The data displayed is adjusted automatically as you start to type.
The goal is to integrate all information silos.
It’s hard to describe just what it looks like, but it’s definitely worth taking a good look at. It is bringing the “simplicity of social software and the power of the semantic web.

A third of American adults are not online - many are scared of technology. It’s a hardware device you plug into the phone and then it’s self-running, essentially. Why your mom will love presto:

First zero-click picture correction software. The service runs in the background and cleans up your pictures. 85% of digital pictures using the auto features come out exposed in a sub-optimal way.
PhotoBot only applies the corrections when needed. Correction is handled at the pixel level.
PhotoBot also protects your pictures by putting your pictures in the bank - a Swiss Picture Bank. Your photos are uploaded to a high-data security system in Switzerland. Swiss Picture Bank is literally in Switzerland. The goal is to “preserve your memories for generations”

Hear Here is like what Tivo lets you do with television shows. A demonstration is being done using an ESPN Radio clip.
pluggd lets you search for the terms that matter to you and presents a heatmap over the timeline. This makes it possible to visually seek to the area that is important to you.
This search is not keyowrd.. it’s a conceptual map. They make use of speech recognition plus “patent-pending technology”.
It will be available for companies as well as individuals to offer on their web site.
Both audio and video will be supported. Coming next year, you’ll be able to search the whole Internet!

“The world’s first connected automotive navigation system.” Their first product is the Dash Express which will ship in January.
Can’t make traffic go away, but they can help us go around it. Dash downloads data via wifi or the cellular network relevent to the area you are in.
Dash supports a MyDash portal that allows individuals to send information directly to the car. Unlike other GPS systems, Dash lets you choose multiple routes that shows distance plus estimated travel time based on actual travel information. The beauty, each Dash device sends anonymous data to cultivate data on the traffic - wow!
Dash allows you to search Yahoo! Local right from the device. Perhaps there’s future integration for other search services?
Dash will be priced competitively and will cost as much as a satellite radio service once your free trial has run.
