…otherwise, I get floored with conversations. Being raised to try to not be rude, naturally I respond. Doesn’t really matter the topic, but I love to talk. This causes issues in that I would much rather be working. Combine this with my attention span, and it is merely a distraction rather than a helpful tool. Therefore, as long as I go icognito in terms of my screenname every few months, and only use it when being distracted won’t kill me, it’s fine.

That hardly ever happens, however. So, typically I’m online, you just don’t know it. I always have my phone and text pager, but typically only answer when I feel like it. Same goes for IM & email.
